Dr. Portolese holds advanced training certification in Sports Injury/Rehab Certification and KT Taping Certification.

KT/Kinesiotaping

Kinesio® Taping is the definitive rehabilitative taping method within the international medical community. Our Doctor utilizes kinesiotape on a variety of conditions, and is especially useful in sports rehabilitation.  This technique works well in providing comfort and stability in patients, and is very effective when used in combination with the soft tissue techniques

Corrective & Rehabilitative Exercises

Dr. Portolese teaches her patient’s special "blueprint" exercises to help strengthen and correct their own unique problem. Individualized Mirror Image Posture Corrective exercises are given to each patient through a technique called CBP. In addition to skeletal misalignment, muscles and connective tissues can be out of place or strained by improper alignment and use. Specific exercises and stretches can help your body stay in balance and in health.  Therefore, Dr. Portolese utilizes exercise balls/elastic bands, free-weights, and balance/proprioceptive equipment in the office, and demonstrates each exercise in a step-by-step process suitable for each individual patient.  In this stage of care, exercises and stretches performed at home by the patient can greatly increase the effectiveness of their spinal correction.

Customized Foot Orthotics

We can improve your overall health by supporting your foundation. The feet are the foundation of the body. They support you when you stand, walk, or run. Feet also help protect your spine, bones, and soft tissues from stress as you move. Stabilizing Orthotics are not just for the feet. They also help properly support the back, knees, hips, ankles and pelvis by providing a balanced foundation for the body and improving your quality of life.
